Anxiety can be felt in many ways and sometimes it is difficult to identify. Anxiety is a natural human emotion and a common response to a sense of threat or danger in our lives, however it can also cause distress if ongoing or intense.


The first signs of anxiety may be a vague sense of unease, restlessness, irritability, difficulty sleeping, or you may notice changes in your breathing or heart rate. There are many other emotional and physical signs of anxiety that may be specific to you. For some people, increased worry about health, physical symptoms, social interactions, relationships or work, are indicators of anxiety.
